On January 18, 2025, NEX hosted our 4th Annual Backpacks, Hoodies, & Sneakers Event at North Crowley High School. Panelists, including law enforcement, juvenile probation officers, students, and community leaders, came together to engage with the next generation. Through interactive discussions, we explored the impact of backpacks, hoodies, and sneakers from the perspectives of law enforcement, mental health, and mentorship. Each student in attendance received a pair of new sneakers and a hoodie. The event also featured vendors, a DJ, and exciting giveaways, including a PS5. It provides a safe space for youth to gain new insights, connect with peers, and engage with community leaders.
